Born in Honolulu, she was a social worker, middle school teacher, authored the book “Hawaiians of Old” used in Hawaiian schools, was a member of the Christ Church Episcopal, Daughters of Hawaii, Hawaiian Mission Children’s Society and a former director of the Cooke Foundation and Family Support Services of Hawaii.
